The Australia-Pacific Technical College graduates in Honiara, Solomon Islands.

More women expected to receive certificates in leadership and management programme.

The Australia-Pacific Technical College (APTC) held it’s first of three graduation ceremonies for the Solomon Islands at the Mendana Hotel in Honiara on March 6, 2018.

There were more than 100 APTC students who graduated. The 100 Solomon Islanders received their qualification in 17 different programmes during the ceremony.

APTC was the flagship programme of the Australian government that provided Australian-standard skills and qualification across a wide range of vocational careers for skilled workers across the Pacific. APTC had trained over 12,000 graduates since 2007, which includes more than 1390 Solomon Island nationals of which over 590 were women.

APTC will hold two more graduation ceremonies in Auki and Gizo respectively for students of the Certificate IV in Leadership and Management programme, most of whom would be women.
