Former national rugby sevens halfback Sakiusa Gavidi leads Sigatoka Bulls in their crucial clash against Conua Chiefs in the Nadroga Rugby Union’s Super 8 competition at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, tomorrow.

The Bulls are desperate for a win to book their semifinal spot.

Bulls coach/ player Rupeni Nahiga told SUNsports that they were targeting a bonus point win over the Chiefs.

“Our aim is to improve in this match and looking at the bigger picture we want a semifinal berth,” the former Flying Fijians lock said.

“Gavidi is recovering from a knock but has recovered in time to lead the team. The players are ready to put their lives on the line.”

Nahiga said boosting their campaign is former Flying Fijians prop Setefano Samoca, Apete Salawaqavuka, Luke Salaba and Samisoni Navatu Jnr.

Unbeaten Tuva Highlanders are going to be tested against Nokonoko/ Waicoba Crusaders in what is termed to be a thriller.

The Highlanders have been preparing under the watchful eyes of Nadroga head coach Esala Nauga and favourites to win the franchise competition.

The Highlanders have fielded Flying Fijians hooker  Ratunaisa Navuma, former Europe based winger Aisea Natoga, Timoci Sauvoli, former national sevens winger Jiuta Lutumailagi, Josefa Nahalo, Sanaila Nahuto, Aisea Natoga and Tuiba Batiratu in the competition.

The Joeli Ratulevu captained- Sunset Wai Stormers will face Sekonaia Kalou’s Malomalo Sharks who are hopeful of finishing in the top four.

The Kalivati Volavola skippered Cuvu Blues take on Noinabua Hurricanes in another thriller.
