The Kingdom Brothers team worked at the Savusavu jetty to raise funds to be able to participate at the 2018 Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament.

And coach Etonia Rokowaqa warned they are not in to make up the numbers but to win the Marist 7s title on debut.

“We unload cargoes from ships at the Savusavu jetty to fund our trip to Suva,” Rokowaqa said.

“The boys are from different villages of Nadamole, Jerusalemi and Nabace.”

The players are devoted Christians and look to God for spiritual uplifting.

“Taking part for the first time doesn’t mean that we can’t win the annual event.

“We are here on a purpose not on a holiday.

“We believe in God who will help us.”

Team captain Are Monoka echoed the same sentiment.

“God is the source of our strength and power  for without Him we would not have make it to Suva,”Monoka said.

The Kingdom Brothers team is in Pool 8 with Wardens, First Landing Cavaliers, Veilomani Steelers.
