Nationality or Citizenship
Amenatave Yaconisau, Delainavesi
Amid the controversy surrounding the term “Fijian” and what the Constitution says, we are still calling players plying their trade overseas Fijian.
Is this citizenship or ethnicity?
Who Is To Blame
Savenaca Vakaliwaliwa, Suva
By 5.31pm on Sunday, April 1, the online daily reported that 70 roads were closed from 4pm as a result of damage caused by TC Josie.
Pictures of flooded towns and areas in Fiji were posted for all to see and be warned.
Last time the Opposition MPs blamed the floods on the Minister of Waterways.
Will he get another dosage of stupidity in Parliament for the flooding caused by TC Josie?
Who will get the blame for the 70 roads that are currently damaged – the Minister for Roads?
We all wish for the 2018 General Election to happen as soon as possible because we are sick of the nonsense spewed out in Parliament by some Opposition MPs.
Blame Game
Wise Muavono, Balawa, Lautoka
Funny whenever there’s flooding somewhere, the Government is blamed.
Soon they’ll also be blamed for the severe weather conditions.
Unification Bout
Sukha Singh, Labasa
It was one of the worst fights I have ever seen.
Even the commentators were not happy with the referee separating the boxers as soon as they came closer.
Alexander Povetkin vs David Price was a much better fight.
Povetkin should be matched with Anthony Joshua.
Struggles
Shariff Shah, Savusavu
Biman Prasad is quoted as saying, “people in Fiji are struggling”.
Can I ask him and his like … when have the people not struggled?
