The leader of the Opposition, Ro Teimumu Kepa, was in Melbourne, Australia, holding talks with SODELPA supporters and attending a pre-election fundraising dinner.

During the Easter weekend, Ro Teimumu was in Boronia, in what she described was a sedate leafy suburb in the outer eastern fringe of Melbourne.

In her social media updates she said this was an apt setting on a balmy Easter Saturday as this was her first visit with the Victorian supporters.

“Indeed a number of party supporters had also come from South Australia and New South Wales to hear each other out, with insightful and challenging questions and answers and share the pre-election fundraising dinner,” she posted.

Meanwhile, before Ro Teimumu left for Australia, she closed a three-day workshop that was facilitated by Fiji Locally Managed Marine Area (FLMMA), in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Rewa Provincial Council at Nukui Village in Rewa.

Men, women and youth representatives from the nine districts of Rewa attended the workshop, which focused on the conservation and preservation of natural resources, marine ecosystems and livelihood and during this programme 1000 mangroves were planted.
