Sloppy defence and taking wrong options were the downfall of Team Fiji women’s rugby sevens side as they went down 17-5 to England last night.

Lanky forward Litia Naiqato and Rusila Nagasau failed to make an impact while Priscilla Siata tried to take on the English defence on her own but was hit by bone-crushing tackles.

Captain Ana Maria Roqica tried to marshal her side but it was all in vain

England took the lead through a Deborah Fleming try but the Iliesa Tanivula coached-side replied through veteran winger Tima Ravisa’s try as they held England 5-5 at halftime.
