The Malolo rugby team aim to improve on their basic skills before facing Suva, in their Skipper Cup opener at the ANZ Stadium, Suva next Saturday.

Malolo Rugby Union vice-president Tevita Sadrata said they are preparing well and ready for next Saturday’s clash.

“Preparation is well under way since we started last week,” he said.

“We are camping at Navuevu, the boys are eager and ready to play and hopefully we will record a good win.”

Sadrata said they have recruited new players for this year’s Skipper Cup and believes the investment made will really help them in their preparation

“We have a new set of boys this year. The boys that were playing last year have found new jobs and have moved on. We only have a few players from last year and we hope to nurture these new boys in becoming good players.”

Sadrata thanked the Fiji Rugby Union management for their hard work in lifting the Skipper Cup competition to a higher level.
