Back from the Commonwealth Games, Adi Cakobau School runners Makereta Naulu and Elenani Tinai are confident of a good performance at the Coca- Cola Games.

Tinai clocked a personal best of 57.45 seconds in her 400m heats.

She told SUNsports yesterday that she would be going into the competition not knowing the level of athletes that going to run with her but however she is determined to help ACS retain the girl’s title.

“I have no idea what to expect at the Coca-Cola games since I did not take part in the zone,” she said.

“Training for Fiji took most of my schedule. I don’t know what the level of competition will be like. I believe it will be competitive but I’m determined to do well.”

Naulu said it was a good exposure for her to participate at the Commonwealth Games but now she has to get her attention on the Coca-Cola Games.

“It was good to be around the best athletes in the world and I hope this experience will help me during the Games this weekend.

“All schools will be sending their best athletes who are going to be underdogs and who I know I will have to shine if I’ve to win so only time will tell.”

Naulu will run in the seniors’ girls 100m, 200m and 4x100m while Tinai will participate in the 400m, 4x400m relay and 800m.
