More than 80 per cent of exported Fijian bottled water, Fiji Water is shipped off to international destinations from the Lautoka wharf.

This was confirmed by Fiji Water president Elizabeth Stephenson on Monday night at the Suva Grand Pacific Hotel.

Ms Stephenson said Fiji gains a lot from the company’s export as a lot of money is injected into the country.

“Exports help increase our sales and profits. Selling goods and services to a market the company never had before boost sales and increases revenues,” Ms Stephenson said.

“Additional foreign sales over the long term, once export development costs have been covered, there is increase in overall profitability,” she said.

“A lot of things we have done around trade with Neptune Pacific Shipping and they are one of our co-partners in business.

“There is a regular weekly service into the Suva and Lautoka port,” she said.

She said the company works closely with NPL. The company also works with Justin and Landmark Vineyards, Vintage Nurseries, Wonderful Citrus, Wonderful Pistachios and Almonds, Teleflora, POM Wonderful and Suterra.

“Neptune Pacific Line (NPL) is part of The Wonderful Company, a $4 billion international company headquartered in Los Angeles,” she said.

“NPL is a vessel owner and operator specialising in the South Pacific islands region for containers, bulk and break-bulk cargoes.

“Directly operating a fleet of seven vessels, as well as slot chartered space, we have the right ship for any Pacific island country.”
