A French Air Force aircraft made a technical stop yes­terday at the Nadi Interna­tional Airport.

Fiji Airports Limited’s commu­nications and public relations of­ficer, Christopher Chand said: “A French Air Force CN-235 aircraft made a technical stop at Nadi In­ternational Airport this morning (yesterday). It arrived at 10.59am and departed at 12.43pm.”

It was noticed that several offic­ers dressed in military uniform were by the CASA/IPTN CN-235 aircraft.

According to Wikipedia, the CASA/IPTN CN-235 is a medium-range twin-engine transport air­craft that was jointly developed by Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA (CASA) of Spain and Indonesian manufacturer IPTN, as a regional airliner and military transport.

Its primary military roles include maritime patrol, surveillance, and air transport.

Its largest user is Turkey, which has 59 aircraft.
