Police Commissioner Brigadier-Gen­eral Sitiveni Qiliho and Minister for Defence and National Security Ratu Inoke Kubuabola have joined representa­tion from about 70 countries for defence talks in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The duo are attending the 16th Edition of the Defence Services Asia (DSA) Exhibition and Conference.

DSA exhibition celebrates three decades in the defence show business, marking an im­pressive milestone in the industry.

The event is expected to showcase some of the world’s most sophisticated technolo­gies, hardware and electronic warfare in the land, air and sea defence, combat medi­cine, homeland security, humanitarian as­sistance and Disaster Relief (HADR), UAVs and combat robotics.

The event is hosted, supported and co-organised by the Ministry of Defence, the Malaysian Armed Forces and the Royal Ma­laysia Police.

According to the New Straits Times, dur­ing the first day, 12,500 visitors and 1500 ex­hibitors from all around the globe thronged the event.

The event organisers have forecasted more than 50,000 visitors from about 70 nations to attend the event which had a successful run for almost three decades now (since 1988).

Countries in and out of the region will share and exchange defence related exper­tise in an event of an attack or threat.

The four-day conference will end tomor­row.
