Orisi Navauvau won gold for Natabua High School in shot put with a dis­tance of 16.54 metres.

The 16-year-old of Wailevu, Verata was in tears when he received his medal at the ANZ Stadium in Suva, yesterday.

Navuvau thanked the Lord for the guid­ance.

“I am so blessed to have this opportunity to get gold even though I only trained for a few days before the Coke Games.

“I know I had the Lord on my side and with him anything is possible.

“ I dedicate this win to my coach, families and friends.”

Finishing in second place was Jesse Stolz of Marist Brothers High School (15.09) and Nathaniel Tuilaucala of Ratu Kadavulevu School third (14.51).
