The Rewa football team is determined to secure their first Vodafone Pre¬mier League (VPL) win this weekend.

Playing in front of their fans at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori, the ‘Delta Tigers’ face Dreketi at 5.30pm on Friday and 3pm on Sunday against Labasa.

Rewa coach Marika Rodu said they are not underestimating Dreketi.

Rodu added they are focusing on making use of their scoring opportunities and tightening up their defence.

“We are currently at the bottom of the points table so a win is very critical. We really need this win since we have not won any game so far,” Rodu said.

“Training has been on track eventhough we did not have any games for the last couple of weeks.”

Rodu said Dreketi’s strength is on their defence and he warned his players not to underestimate them.

“I urge all Rewa fans to please come out in numbers and support the team this weekend. “Your support will be a great source of encouragement for the side,” he added.
