It was an early morning surprise for the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday.

The Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto led his senior officers and non-commissioned officers including the Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho to congratulate Mr Bainimarama on his birthday.

The Prime Minister turned 64 yesterday.

Mr Bainimarama thanked the officers for their thoughtfulness.

He reminded them of those they owed their lives to – their families, children and fellow workers.

Reverend Captain Viliame Tunidau led a short devotion and quoted from the Bible – Matthew 6:33.

The RFMF Band provided music for the occasion.
