BRED Bank’s booth at the Retirement Expo which ended yesterday focused on providing savings solutions to customers for their long-term benefit.

In Fiji, many people rely on their Fiji National Provident Fund as the main source of equity for home and educational assistance  etc.

This reduces their FNPF savings considerably.

BRED Bank is advocating  and educating our customers to start saving early in life as this will  position them to comfortably meet various financial obligations they have — such as education, medical, buying a car, buying a home, taking a dream vacation or retirement.

Interestingly, during the Retirement Expo, they received overwhelming response from consumers visiting our booth and inquiring about the savings solutions; including retirement savings.

Apart from these, consumers also get information and requirements for Personal Loan, Motor Vehicle Loan and Home Loan.

Bred Bank product at the expo

Bred bank’s Premium Plus Savings Account was popular product at the  Retirement Expo.

The account offers no monthly maintenance fees and with a tiered interest rate structure it offers customers a good return on their savings.

The bank set up direct transfer of funds from customers’ salary account with BRED Bank to the Premium Plus Savings Account for free.

For example, if a customer aged 30 years starts up a savings deduction of $100 a fortnight, by the time he/she reaches the retirement age their account will have a savings of at least $65,000.

From here, at the age of 55 and above, BRED Bank is able to switch them to Life Plus: Senior Citizen Account. The latter account is designed specifically for retirees and offers 2 per cent interest rate, free ATM Card, Internet Banking; plus customers do not pay anything for the rest of their life!
