Praneel Naidu, 23, is hoping for a grand performance as Lautoka will face Team Wellington in the OFC Champions League this month.

The left back scored the winning goal against Marist FC 1-0 in the second leg semi-final at the Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara last Sunday. Lautoka won on aggregate 3-2, after a 1-1 draw in Lautoka last month.

“I was really happy when I scored that goal. It was amazing to be in that moment. We were under pressure but managing to score that goal was one of the best and happiest moments in my life. Our win is dedicated to all our fans, supporters, families and team management,”he said.

“We hope to put up a good game in our next match. This is something we will need to prepare for whole heartedly and to get out the best results at the end of the match.”

Naidu made his debut for Lautoka on September 12, 2017 and has been an integral part of the team.

Lautoka will now play Team Wellington in on a home and away basis.

The first leg will be played on May 12 in Auckland while the second leg will be played on May 19 in Lautoka.
