Law graduate Asilika Rogers yesterday thanked her lawyer husband Emmanuel Narayan for supporting her.

Ms Rogers is one of the first seven students to graduate with a Bachelor of Law degree from the Fiji National University at the FMF gymnasium Suva.

Ms Rogers is originally from Vabea in Kadavu.

She started her legal studies in 2012 before she married Mr Narayan in 2013.

In 2015, she had their first baby, a son.

It was not easy. She had to juggle her time between studies and the baby.

She said she grew up in a home of a very poor family with 11 siblings.

“I lost my parents at a very young age I lost my father when I was five years old and my mom passed away when I was 10-years-old,” she said.
