The Inspiring Story Of A Woman Who Nearly Lost It All In A Road Accident

Try to imagine being told by doctors that you may never fully recover after an accident, never regain the full use of your sight nor be able to walk on an uneven surface because of your physical limitations.
This is exactly what inspirational speaker Jane Rushton was told some 25 years ago; but this never deterred her from achieving some amazing things in her life.
Jane Rushton is one of the speakers at the Fiji Institute of Accountants 2018 Congress sponsored by Vodafone and Westpac Banking Corporation.
The congress will be held on May 18 and 19, 2018 at the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa on Yanuca Island, Sigatoka.
Jane Rushton’s story is very inspiring and I believe it teaches us about the human spirit, how much we are willing to work to recover from very difficult and challenging situations we may be in or are faced with.
As much as it is physical it is also mental.
“Ms Rushton’s experience I believe will not only inspire delegates but will also teach us how to deal with these situations,” said FIA president Finau Nagera.
In 1992, Jane was a victim in a horrendous car crash.
Nearly every bone in her face was broken, and her legs were shattered.
When her parents came to the hospital they did not recognise her.
She also lost the lens and iris from her left eye.
Ms Rushton was told by her doctor that even if she was to recover she would never again walk on an uneven surface.
Since then she underwent some 18 major operations and of course uncounted hours of therapy.
The highlight of her road to recovery: receiving her dream surgery in May 2017, a prosthetic lens and iris hand painted in Germany which is undetectable.
Ms Rushton dreamt of this day.
Whilst this might have put her on the road to a remarkable physical recovery there is always the much harder side coping with pain and the mental recovery.
She wanted to learn how to heal herself and find more happiness in herself and in any area of her life.
She loves showing her clients and readers how to discover more happiness with her easy formula ‘Mind Tricks 5 Key Steps’ that she and many use daily to be the best they can be and enjoy each day of their life.
Ms Rushton, an international speaker successful Author, Mind Tricks Coach, Spiritual Healer, Pilates and Gym Instructor, Qi gong teacher, as well as Founder and President of International Netball Festival Inc and director of two companies, has been an entrepreneur since the age of twenty four.
“The Congress every year features an Inspirational Speaker,” said Rajeshwar Singh FIA congress organising committee Chair.
“A person we believe shares an experience that may have challenged them either physically or mentally but rather than deter them has inspired them to achieve more than most people can.
“We want the congress to be a holistic experience for our delegates so we cover a variety of topics like skills development, technology, resilience and even life balance.”
Mr Singh added that Mr Rushton is known to be a dedicated manager and effective leader who excels at using proven methods to achieve great results in streamline operations to increase productivity.
She also claims that delegation is one of her many strengths.
Ms Rushton has had incredible testimonials from clients as she is an extraordinary life strategist coach, spiritual healer and fitness coach.
Ms Rushton has studied so many modalities to aid her recovery she has lost count.
Her second book “I Lost My Face” will be published this year where she shares her journey from the first days of her accident and how she has chosen to live with her injuries and on going operation whilst living a wonderful fit, healthy life with her adoring husband Nick and four wonderful children Oliver, Holly, Aimee-Rose and Trent.
