The 20-year old from Nalawa, Ra shared the financial challengers he had to overcome to be where he is at today and his excitement to participate in the annual event.

Naulalevu’s passion in football grew when he was at primary school and his parents, Verenava Koro and Mere Nadovu supported his dream and never once stopped from playing soccer.

The eldest of five siblings said it was tough at first trying to build up his career but with time he was able to cater for his family.

“I have always loved soccer, at first it was a hobby but as I grew I knew I could make a career out of it,” Naulalevu said.

“Like most families, we face financial difficulties but my parents have supported and never once stopped me from living my dream.

“It will be very hard playing in the Vodafone Fiji Fact. We did not perform well during the Vodafone Premier League. But I want to help my team win.”

Naulalevu shared one of his best experience was during the 2017 Courts Inter-District Championship when they played Lautoka during the pool matches and drew 1-1.

“Lautoka had a home ground advantage, but we managed to hold them to a draw. I will never forget that moment,” Naulalevu said.

“Fiji FACT will not be easy but I am confident we will perform to expectation.”

Naulelevu who is known by his teammates as “Fly” further added his main inspiration in life was his grandmother Mareta Tabua, who has always taught him to always rely on God. Tavua is in Pool B with Nadi, Lautoka, Suva and play the opening game against Nadi on May 25 at 1.30pm.
