The Ram Sami Nasinu rugby side beat Cakaudrove 5-3 to secure their first win in the third round of the Vodafone Va­nua Championship at Marcellin Primary School ground in Suva yesterday.

Coach Seremaia Bai was im­pressed with the performance and they will also be working on areas to improve on before their next match.

“I’m happy with the win but there is still some areas we need to work on,” he said

What Happened: Cakaudrove started well to lead 3-0 from a pen­alty to fullback Iowane Teba.

Nasinu tried their best to crack the defence but Cakaudrove put on a strong resistance.

Halftime: Cakaudrove 3-0 Nasinu

Nasinu was rewarded for their effort in the 60th minute with a try to centre Tomasi Bulai.

Fulltime: Nasinu 5-3 Cakaudrove


Nasinu coach Seremaiia Bai;

“I think every team wants to win and I’m glad we beat Cakaudrove. The boys did their very best today at the same time we are develop­ing them as well so that they can become better rugby players.”
