The Ulaiyasi Lawavou-captained BLK Nadroga side scored 10 unanswered tries in the 62-0 bonus victory over Warwick Navosa in the Skipper Cup Premiership match at the Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka yesterday.

What happened:

The Stallions started well with two tries to winger Pio Mua, first five-eight Jiuta Lutumailagi and two conversions kicked by fullback Josese Kurokavu.

Navosa with Loma Delai, Limanivai Driu, Serupepeli Kunalagi, Penioni Nayaya and Eroni Bakabaka had few chances but the Nadroga defence was too tough to crack.

Nadroga again showed how rugby is played at Skipper Cup Premiership level with tries to flanker Sevuloni Tawake (2), winger Viliame Bolalailai and Kurokavu kicked a conversion.

Kalivati Volavola, Tomasi Naiduki and prop Setefano Somoca came off the bench to score a try each.

Halfback Sakiusa Gavidi also came off the bench to kick three conversions.

Big Play:

Lawavou marshalled his troops well.

Star Turn:

Lutumailagi and Mua read the game well.

Nadroga skipper Ulaiyasi Lawavou said, “Navosa gave us a good game and we wish them well in future. We face Naitasiri next and it will be tough as it will be played at their own turf.”

Navosa skipper Joji Nareki said, “I thank the boys. But we will not lose hope and focus on our next game.”
