The 2018 Thurston Food and Music Festival was launched at the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation in Suva on Wednesday 16, 2018.

The event is brought by KNOX Entertainment and Gold FM supported by Paradise Beverages and Suva City Council.

The festival will be held at Suva’s Thurston Garden on the 14th of July from 11am to 10pm.

FBC manager radio Shammi Lochan Lal said the aim was to promote the value of live performances and showcase a live festival of international standards for all to enjoy.

“This year’s festival is gearing up to be the biggest live music event on the calendar held right in the heart of Suva,” Mrs Lal said.

The co-director and event manager of Knox Entertainment, Ellana Kalounisiga said last year’s launch attracted more than 1500 people from all works of life.

She said organisers were expecting a larger crowd this year and promises an event not to be missed.

“The festival is full of activities with some of Fiji’s best live performers on stage for the duration of the day with 10 bands plus dance groups performing,” Ms Kalounisiga said.

Tickets will go on sale from the 25th of May at $25 for adult while entry will be free for kids under the age of 14.

The tickets can be purchased at the FBC office, the ROC café and Ginger Kitchen.
