Principal says year eight students and teachers to benefit from donation.

The new computers will definitely boost our learning and understand the digital world, says Holy Trinity Anglican School headboy, Aaron Roger.

Aaron and his fellow students will now have access to study computing after the ANZ Bank presented them with five Dell computers and a printer.

“I am so thankful for the donation, which will help me in doing my research on computers now,” Aaron said.

ANZ Fiji country head and chief executive officer, Saud Minam, said donating the computers to the school was not something that should be measured in dollars.

“Computers are very expensive things these days and it is a thought that is expensive, not money,” Mr Minam said.

“From ANZ’s perspective it is important to provide the local community with necessary facilities to grow.”

School principal Emmanuel Kumar said: “The ministry’s intension is that schools have a computer library and we are so glad that we have one today,” he said.

“The computers will be used by Year Five students and above, but for now Year Eight will be starting to use them from next week.”

Mr Kumar said the teachers would also benefit because they now had the tools to help them plan their lessons, activities for children, and prepare exam papers.

The school located at McGregor Rd, Suva, caters for more than 750 students from Years One to Eight.
