France- based Levani Botia believes the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians will field a powerful team in the June Test matches, where they face Georgia, Tonga and Samoa

Arriving into the country yesterday, Botia told SUNsports that he would miss out since he is still recovering from a knee injury.

The powerful centre turned flanker got injured while playing for La Rochelle against Scarlets in the Champions Cup quarterfinal.

“I’m happy to be back home,” the former national sevens captain said.

“We had a long season in France but unfortunately I did not finish the season because of injuries.”

Botia will be out for six weeks but however indicated that he would be following the progress of the national team.
He is always looking forward to make the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

“It’s disappointing that I will miss the June test matches. Looking at our team especially in the backs we’ve the heaviest backline in the world.

“We have Radradra (Semi) and Tuisova (Josua) and it will be tough and nothing will be stopping them,” he added.

Botia was with club mate Kini Murimurivalu who has been named in the Flying Fijians squad that march into camp today.

The enterprising fullback said, he was looking forward to the challenge after he played a crucial role in the Test wins over Italy and Scotland in Suva, last year.
