The world’s fastest super yacht, The Dragonfly, has been snapped anchored out at sea off Musket Cove Island Resort since the weekend.

The stunning 73-metre boat is worth $80 million and owned by Google co-founder Sergey Brin.

According to a resort staff member who asked not to be named The Dragonfly is a regular in the Malolo waters in the Yasawa Group.

“The Dragonfly does not come close ashore, only the call crew does come in,” the staff member said.

“The call crew come in for shopping, they have American, Australia accents, they are from all over the world,” she said.

“It (The Dragonfly) comes around almost every month.”

The Dragonfly is also a regular visitor at the Denarau Marina.

According to the Daily Mail, Dave Woods, Director of Perth company Silveryachts, which built The Dragonfly in 2009, said the vessel was indeed the world-renowned super yacht.

Built from aluminium, The Dragonfly is touted as the most stylish and efficient super yacht on the water.

In 2011, it was up for sale for around $80 million and was reportedly purchased by Mr Brin.
