The Fiji Rugby Union last night announced that Carpenters Motors have extended their partnership with them for a further three years.

Carpenters Motors had become the “Official Vehicle Provider” from 2013–2017 and on the completion of their contract had stated their interest in continuing the partnership.

FRU chief executive officer John O’Connor thanked Carpenters Motors for their continued support which will assist in the transportation needs for our daily operations and administration of the union.

“With the sponsorship and the vehicles that are supplied, we will also be able to support all our programme,” he said.

“In their 150th year of the Carpenters Group operating in Fiji I’m delighted that we’ve been able to reach an agreement with Carpenters Motors to extend that longstanding relationship by another three years.

“As part of that deal, Carpenters Motors are supplying further vans and cars which you will have seen displayed outside.

“So, a special thanks to the Carpenters Group, to Sir Mogan and Carpenters Motors through Nicholas Ling, it is great to have you on-board for the next three years.

“This partnership is iconic for both of us, as not so long ago, we celebrated our centennial year, and this year, actually this month, alongside our June Test series, the Carpenters Group is celebrating their 150th year in operations within Fiji and around the globe, so a huge milestone for both world renowned brands.

“These five new vehicles are a blessing to the FRU as it will not only provide for our needs, it will also help us spread the good gospel of rugby and continue with our development and operations work in delivering high performance services across all areas in Fiji including our rural communities.”

Carpenters Motors is the exclusive (sole) distributor of Ironman 4×4 parts which enhances the safety, performance and lifestyle of 4×4 vehicles and O’Connor confirmed that all the five new vehicles have all been installed with the Iron Man suspension system which will ensure safety for the players and long term survival of the vehicles.

“Carpenters Motors is extremely delighted to once again partnering the Fiji Rugby Union in their endeavour to scale newer heights and bring more glory to Fiji. Our previous relationship with FRU culminated with our 7’s team winning the Olympic Gold Medal for the very first time.”

Carpenters Motors general manager Nicholas Ling further added that this year is most definitely an iconic year for them and what better way to celebrate it, than to extending their partnership with FRU.

“We are pleased to join FRU in their bid to bring a circuit of the HSBC 7s tournament to Fiji, the upcoming 7’s World Cup, 15’s World Cup, and many more tournaments.”

“Carpenters Motors is the biggest retailer of new and used vehicles in Fiji and FRU is biggest brand in Fiji. We are confident that the association between these two giants will lead to excellent returns for both parties.

“On behalf of our company owners, directors, management and staff of Carpenters Motors, we wish FRU all the best in bringing further glory to our nation,” he added.
