The Galaxy Hotel and Apartments Labasa football team are contemplating a tough clash against Nadi in the Vodafone Fiji FACT 2018 semifinal at Churchill Park, Lautoka on Sunday.

Labasa coach Anand Sami has been busy trying to ensure that they can get a run together before game time.

“We haven’t started preparing as there has been heavy rain for the past two days and no ground has been available for us to train on,” the former star midfielder said.

The 55-year-old coach also confirmed that four players are still injured and they have been given time to recover.

“By Friday we will be able to know the set-up of the team as to who will play. We have the reserves but we are trying to ensure that the players recover quickly so that we can achieve our aim.

“As of now it is very hard to determine the outcome of the tournament. For the game plan the way I see now is that we are going to implement the same strategies used last weekend,” he said.

“I respect Nadi as they’re a good team just like other districts. We are not looking at winning or losing the tournament. We are focused on good performance. We have to manage our mistakes.

“I also call on our fans to continue supporting the team. The players have showed great commitment and are dedicated. They are always trying to perform to their best.”

The match kicks-off at 12.30pm
