Flagstaff Plaza is set to open soon.

The development of the strip of land 4643 square metres in area (being approximately 30 metres deep from Bau Street) began in 2016 by Yanjian Group (Fiji) Co. Limited.

Fineland Investments Limited the owner and developer is understood to have made a multimillion dollar investment to the new plaza project.

The amazing modern shopping mall structure is built on land owned by the Fiji Marist Brothers Trust Board Inc.

Two of the principals and directors of Fineland are proud old boys of Marist Brothers Schools and completely support the Marist Brothers educational aims and ethos.

The land involved is being leased at a commercial rent and, together with the Plaza buildings, will revert to Marist Trust when the lease expires.

Apart from providing an attractive modern shopping environment in the Plaza there will be security provided as well as safe car parking facilities off site and in the complex itself.

Tenants for the mall are understood to be Extra Supermarket, butcher, liquor shop, bakery, very large up market foodcourt, clothing shop, fish shop, and barber shop, professional offices, Police Post and other outlets.

It will also accommodate a new fully-furnished modern designed Flagstaff Police Post, constructed for free for the Flagstaff Community.

An attractive professionally landscaped garden area will separate the new Plaza development from the school grounds.

This is to create beautification and environmentally friendly and pleasing surroundings for the plaza, the school and in and around the precincts of the neighbourhood areas.

On the Bau Street frontage, Fineland Investments will be carrying out substantial remedial works to the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) owned embankment which are urgently required.

Without this, there is a safety hazard in the school grounds.
