No Time To Be Sad But To Work Hard And Focus On Rugby World Cup Sevens: Seremaia Tuwai

Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team captain Seremaia  Tuwai said there is more to learn than mourn losing out on the 2017-18 World Sevens Series title in Paris on Monday.

Tuwai said they need to move on and direct their energy preparing for the Rugby World Cup Sevens (RWCS) next month.

The team arrived at the Nadi International Airport yesterday

They finished second on the overall standings for the World Series title relinquishing the first place position to South Africa in the final tournament of the series.

“There is no time for mourning or regretting and wishing what could have been. The World Sevens Series is over, now we focus on the RWCS,” Tuwai said.

He is confident of their chances at the RWCS in San Francisco on July 20 22.

“Last week , it was a disappointment for us, it was painful but right now there is no time for mourning, no time for crying, there is a bigger thing coming, that is the RWCS,” Tuwai said.

He said they had a lot of work that needs to be done preparing for the RWCS.

“We have a good chance in winning the World Cup because the players have been performing well as a team and we will just work hard in the next two weeks,”he said.

The team was greeted by their families, friends and fans who cheered for the players upon their arrival yesterday morning.
