New Deal For Narere Project

The Nasinu Town Council and the Fiji National Rugby League yesterday signed a new deal on the building of a sports facility at Narere

The estimated cost of developing a rugby league field and other facili­ties is $6million.

FNRL chief executive officer Ti­moci Naleba is grateful to the coun­cil,

“This is to help in developing our youths try out rugby league to keep fit,”Naleba said.

FNRL president Peni Musanama­si added the facility will not only cater for rugby league but other sports as well.

“We are quite thankful that we have come to have an agreement to have the lease of 99 years and that is something that would be fruitful to the organisation,” Musunamasi said

“This ground will not be used by the sports federation but rather other sports as well. Now the task is with us (FNRL) to develop to build this so that we can use it for the purpose that we have asked the lease for.”

Nasinu Town Council special ad­ministrator Mosese Kama said they project will assist the youths in the area to develop physically and men­tally.

“Nasinu is one of the densely pop­ulated townships in Fiji and when we talk about population we talk about youth,” Kama said

“We are so thankful to FNRL for taking up the challenge.

“We look forward for a fruitful and a strong partnership in years to come.”

He said the people of Nasinu are looking forward to the completion of the project.
