The Fiji Airways Fijian Drua will play the first two rounds of the Australian National Rugby Championship

at home when it kicks off on September 1.

Dubbed as the fans favourites after making a good debut last year, the Drua will kick off the season playing the Melbourne Rising in round one at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori at 3pm.

In round two on September 8, the Senirusi Seruvakula-coached side will play Brisbane City at Churchill Park, Lautoka at 3pm.

The team will play round three and four in Australia and return for round five where they will play the NSW Country Eagles on September 29 at Ratu Cakobau Park.

In round six on October 6, they will play the Canberra Vikings in Lautoka.

The big change for 2018 comes in New South Wales, with the return of the traditional Sydney versus Country rivalry which is steeped in tradition and folklore in NSW Rugby.

The Western Force will fly the flag for Western Australia, replacing the Perth Spirit after taking part in World Series Rugby in Perth throughout the year making UWA Sports Park their home in West Perth.

A four-team Finals Series will kick off on October 20, with the 2018 Grand Final to be played on Saturday, October 27.

Rugby Australia Chief Executive, Raelene Castle said: “The standout feature of the NRC is that the quality of Rugby has grown each season and there are some exciting changes this year to build the connection with fans. It is also an excellent opportunity for Super Rugby players to share their experiences with young up and coming talent.
