Lelean Memorial School collected $101,000 after its three-day Diamond Jubilee celebration ended yesterday.

The school celebrated its 75 years.

School principal Laisa Soko said she was happy with the support that the school had from old scholars, parents and teachers.

Meanwhile, Ms Soko said, the school aimed to build a hall with the funds raised.

“Currently we do not have any school hall. We always use the Baker Hall, which has been turned into a church now, so we cannot use it for other activities apart from services,” she said.

“That is why we intend to have our own school hall.”

Ms Soko added that the plan was to commemorate its Diamond Jubilee celebration.
