The Nadi Primary Schools Netball (NPSN) is optimistic of making their mark in this year’s Fiji Primary Schools Netball (Western Division) competition.

NPSN Games coordinator Ilisapeci Navula said last Saturday that they had entered into their second week of round robin competition for both their tier one and tier two divisions.

“Despite that we have put our coaches to their various grades to monitor and scout players in their respective age groups, as we want to field the best possible teams for this year’s Western meet,” Navula said.

She said they had found some promising talents within their competition and would be showcasing them in the upcoming Western meet which would be held in Sigatoka later in the year.

“We are aware that there will be other strong teams out there that we will be competing with. These are teams like Nadroga and Lautoka but we will not be focusing on them. Instead we will be working on ways to develop our players and getting them ready for the competition.”

“We are expecting a big year for our Nadi netters and we are looking forward to a big competition ahead of us,” she said.
