The Babs Khan-coached Jack’s Nadi football side will be in full force at the INKK Mobile Battle of Giants tournament next week.

The Green Machine has yet to win the tournament in 22 years although they have won the title in 1978, 1980, 1983, 1986 and 1996.

Nadi Football president Javed Ahmed said, “It has been 22 years since we last won the B.O.G. We have won the Fiji FACT few years ago but B.O.G and IDC are the two trophies that we really need to target in 2018. The team is prepared and we plan to win the B.O. G.”

The team will camp tomorrow and play Lautoka in the Vodafone Premier League on Sunday.

“We want to focus more on key areas like finishing,”Ahmed said.

“Coaches need more time to work on that and players need to focus in playing a crucial match like this.”

Nadi defeated Ba 1-0 two weeks ago in the Vodafone Premier League and hopes to keep the momentum against the Blues.

“This will be a like a dress rehearsal for the B.O.G and obviously going to be hard. But I’ve confidence in the boys and I know the calibre of the players.”

On Wednesday, Nadi FA hosted a sponsorship cocktail and launched a magazine at Waimalika.

“We aimed to raise $10, 000 but fell short. But a few more sponsors are expected to come forward,” he said.

VPL Fixtures: Saturday- Govind Park, Ba v Tavua, 3pm.

Sunday: Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori, Suva v Rewa; Subrail Park, Labasa v Dreketi.
