Who will cover the World Cup Sevens for the FIJI SUN

Yasawa flyer has grown in terms skill and maturity. Watch him go in San Francisco!

Yasawa native Kalione Nasoko can longer be regarded as a newcomer in the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team. Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, head coach Gareth Baber said Nasoko has grown as a player.

“That is in terms of his skill level and maturity while on the field of play,” Baber said.

For the past months I’ve seen him progress as he continues to play great football, understanding and can be physical as well. I would now regard him with the likes of Semi Kunatani and Paula Dranisinukla.”

Nasoko was impressive during the Hamilton Sevens in New Zealand when he ran the full length of the field to score the winning try against Samoa in the Cup quarterfinal.

And again in the final, it was his offload passes while committing the South African tacklers saw winger Alosio Naduva strolled over to score his three tries.

“He is also one of the quickest player in the squad and when I look at that I can say that I am blessed to have a player like that. With the engine that his got, and to ensure that he does not give any penalties away, he falls right in everything his got and I think he deserves the credit.”
