Famil Showcases New Product To High-End  Australian Media

Tourism Fiji has worked with the new Six Senses property in the Mamanuca islands to bring a number of Australian lifestyle and consumer media to Fiji to experience the new product.

These media were from a range of high-end fashion, lifestyle and trend setting publications such as Harpers Bazaar, Escape and Delicious Magazine in Australia.

Opened in April this year, the new Six Senses hotel is a significant development for Fiji which combines wellness and sustainability under the global luxury boutique brand.

The recent famil was designed to push the message of luxury, wellness, eco and sustainability for the destination.

Tourism Fiji chief executive Matthew Stoeckel said: “Six Senses is a fantastic brand to launch in Fiji and the resort provided the perfect backdrop for an immersive famil to some of Australia’s leading publications to highlight the natural beauty and wellness experiences of the destination.

“At Tourism Fiji we know seeing is believing and its famils such as this that enable us to best showcase the incredible experiences that Fiji has to offer”.

A candle-lit Fijian dinner was hosted on the beach by Six Senses and Tourism Fiji for seven of Australia’s leading travel and lifestyle publications.

In addition to the group long-table dinner, each media received tailored itineraries that incorporated immersive activities within the destination.

Seasoned writer and Journalist Lisa Mayoh from Escape Magazine said the Famil was magical!

“I loved every minute and I am so grateful for the opportunity.

“I am just about to sit down to write my story and I can’t wait,” Ms Mayoh exclaimed.

The famil included tailored activities such as Malamala Beach Club, Cloud 9, Diving, hill treks and local village visits.

Coverage is expected to appear over the next quarter and complements the additional broadcast PR activities in the Australian market.
