Owners Invest $2m In A State Of Art Restaurant

Food lovers rejoice! Nando’s Fiji Franchise returns to Nadi with a new state of art restaurant and menus.

According to the current owner, Tachyon Investments Limited, the investment is worth $2 million.

The international restaurant located in the heart of Nadi town can seat in 150 people at once and has 32 staff. It opened its door for business yesterday.

Nando’s Fiji general manager, Ritesh Patel said: “It has been long waiting for Nadi, as Nando’s is internationally known and common to those that travel aboard and even those that come into Fiji.

“Nadi is the tourism destination and will add to the tourism destination customer base and locals. The taste will suit all Fijians who love spices.”

Mr Patel added that the menus will be similar in their two outlets in Suva but they are planning a new menu to be available during the official grand opening which is expected in coming weeks.

“Nandos menu is based on the healthy product range. The only fried item is fries.”

He added that Nando Chicken follows four reasons – Their chicken is not frozen, Used Peri-peri marinades which are world renowned, butterfly cut and char-grilled to remove the fats.

Investment

Nando’s Fiji Restaurant Franchise which was owned by Damodar Brothers Limited has been owned by Tachyon Investments Limited (Rajesh Patel and Samuel Ram) since June 2016.

Tachyon Investment Limited director Rajesh Patel said: “It will be a $2 million investment for the Nadi store and this is a state of the art store which is the first in the South Pacific and which Nando’s Australia has not done that now.

“We are happy with the current Government’s policies which is investment friendly and we are here to grow the economy of this country,” he added.

Tachyon Investment Limited owns the master franchise for the South Pacific including Fiji.

Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) president Dr Ram Raju said: “It is wonderful to have Nando’s back in Nadi. It’s quite a popular restaurant that serves quality and tasty food.

“Its international decor looks awesome and I’m pretty sure it will be a success and brings to Nadi another culinary delight,” Mr Raju said.

“Nadi boasts widest range of delightful restaurants in Fiji that attracts a lot of locals and tourists alike.

“NCCI welcomes Nando’s that is set to become a popular and attractive restaurant and I wish to congratulate the directors for this initiative,” he said.

The opening hours:

Sunday – Wednesday 10am-10pm and Thursday 10am-11pm.
