Suva Magistrate Waleen George has adjourned for­mer civil servant Sainiana Waqainabete Radrodro’s case to August 17.

Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption lawyer Rash­mi Aslam and Radrodro’s lawyer, Filimoni Vosarogo, told the court that they had already made their closing submissions.

Magistrate George adjourned the case for both counsels to make fur­ther submissions before the court delivers judgment.

Radrodro is charged with 11 counts of obtaining financial ad­vantage by deception.

She is alleged to have obtained fi­nancial advantage by falsely using the then Minister for Works’ name to obtain a total of $9560 on 11 sep­arate occasions between May of 2010 and June 2011.
