New Trophies For Super Deans

New trophies will be up for grabs at the 2018 Powerade Super Deans Rugby Championship at the ANZ Stadium on Saturday.

Sponsor Coca-Cola Amatil made the presentation to the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union (FSSRU) at the Holiday Inn Suva yesterday ahead of the quarterfinals at ANZ Stadium yesterday.

Union president Setareki Merekula acknowledged the continuing support of the soft drink giant.

“We thank our sponsors for stepping in again for a new term and conditions and a very exciting agreement,” Merekula said

“Today is an important day as the competition will now be known as the Powerade Super Deans Rugby Championship.

FSSRU executive Biu Colati said they are ready and looking forward to the games this weekend

“Everything is set to go,” Colati said

Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji marketing manager Lawrence Tikaram said they are honoured to be associated with the FSSRU in helping young rugby players to be successful in future.

“Today is a significant event as it paves a new direction on how we are going to manage the Powerade Super Deans Rugby Championship,” Tikaram said

“This event is always a dream of every school boy.

“I want to acknowledge the effort and time taken by the teachers and coaches.

“As sponsors we are deeply engaged in the process of looking after the future of our rugby players.”
