A 28-year-old former Pacific Centre Com Limited, call centre employee appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday on a fraud charge.

Ratu Ilaitia Cokolaca Vulimainuisiladi Alofi appeared before Magistrate Liyanage Wickramasekera charged with one count of obtaining financial advantage.

It is alleged that on April 22, 2016, in Suva Ratu Ilaitia, being a reservations consultant of Pacific Centre Com Limited, engaged in a conduct where he fraudulently used the credit card details of Tina Pisami and purchased three gaming disks all to the total value of $US160.70 ($F320) online knowing that he was not eligible for that financial advantage.

Police prosecutor corporal Raymond Filipe informed the court that he had no objections to bail being granted.

Magistrate Wickramasekera granted Alofi bail on the assurance of one surety with a bail bond sum of $2000.

Magistrate Wickramasekera told the accused that while on bail he must not offend or be involved in a criminal offence, not interfere with the complainant and prosecution witnesses.
