Support from her parents has encouraged Sainiana Sara Naulu, in her bid to capture top honours at the Vodafone Millennium Sinu Festival 2018.

The festival starts tonight and she is confident to be among placegetters during the crowning event on August 4th at the Valelevu Ground.

Ms Naulu said her parents have always been her source of motivation.

“I remembered way back after a stint at modeling my dad had advised me to go far and try to tackle pageants,” she said.

“So this year, when I was asked to join the Vodafone Milliniuem Sinu Festival I didn’t hold back. I said yes.

“My dad supported me and encouraged me till today.

“I am the embodiment of a new beginning of life. My purpose here is to find the true calling of life and fulfill it. This platform is one of the steps towards reaching that goal.”

She said it would be an honour if she was crowned Miss Nasinu.

“I know I can do it. I want be a queen who wins people’s hearts,” Ms Naulu said.

“I guess that’s all we can truly be in this world. And that is winning people over with kindness, love and compassion.

“We must understand that children are a gift from God, a gift that comes with responsibilities.

“Life is short, step out of your comfort zone and grab every opportunity that comes your way”

She will be advocating on the ‘Importance of Disciplining Children at an Early Age’.

Ms Naulu hails from Serua Island with maternal links to Navakawau in Taveuni.

“For me, this is a great opportunity and I am blessed to be part of it. I have met beautiful Queen Contestants who have been great and I have learned a lot from each one of them. We have made some great memories which I will forever cherish.”

She lists her hobbies as playing volleyball, modelling for fun and exposure.
