Sheraton Villas Upgrades Reception, Office Spaces

In a bid to serve its guests and associates better, the Sheraton Denarau Villas invested in a newly built reception and administration block.
The completed refurbishment aims to create a friendlier environment for its guests.
The Denarau property hosted a soft opening last Thursday (July 26).
Owners and other stakeholders were present to witness the opening.
Sheraton and Westin Resort Fiji Complex general manager Neeraj Chadha said: “This project really was all about serving three strategic points.
“One is to improve arrival experience for all the villa guests that are coming here.
“Firstly, It needed to be upgraded and certainly delivers that.
“The second part was to make the operation more efficient by having satellite check-in and check-out counter so whenever the place is busy it will be handled with increased efficiency.
“Thirdly, we created more great work places for our associates. Our members and team members which are more important part can be connected closer to the guest and be approachable.”
Mr Chadha said it took about eight weeks to complete the $750,000 investment project.
“We certainly have plans to continue to invest to make the assets look better including the much-needed upgrade on our landscape,” he said.
Since the Denarau property opened its doors in 1999, it has been under Sheraton’s management.
Board of owners chairman Alan Stewart said: “The owners agreed on spending FJ$1 million but we were able to use some materials we already had, change a few things and probably have invested $750,000.
“The owners are pleased on the change undertaken because there was no welcoming area.
“If you had to wait for a bus, you would be sitting on chair in the middle and that was it.”
Meanwhile, the Villas’ staff are scheduled to move in to their new offices and a board room in coming days.
