Nivea, Partners Step In To Increase Prostate Cancer Awareness

Nivea for Men and partners have launched a promotion in the hope of increasing awareness on prostate cancer in the country.
The partnership is between the Suva Golden Oldies Rugby Club (SGORC), the Ministry for Health and Medical Services and the Fiji Cancer Society.
The Nivea Men’s Promotion for in-stores will be giving 5 cents from any NIVEA for MEN product purchased towards the Prostate Cancer Awareness.
Johan Stoltz, the vice president of the Suva Golden Oldies Rugby Club said: “Prostate cancer is a deadly disease that afflicts older men and is now rated as one of the top killers of men in Fiji.
“Unfortunately this disease is not often discussed and older men do not get tested if at all. The Club has since 2015, worked with partners and sponsors to raise funds for testing and increased awareness throughout Fiji.
“This year we target to raise awareness amongst the general population and test 1500 men Fiji wide.”
Craig Magnusson, the Export and Business Development Manager – Biesdorf said they were proud to be associated with raising awareness of prostate cancer in Fiji.
“Prostate Cancer can be treated if detected early through vital testing which costs money,” Mr Magnusson said.
“In helping to raise those vital funds, we will be donating 5c for every NIVEA Men product sold through leading retail stores, until the end of September.
“Our campaign is aiming to raise $3000 for organisations, such as the Golden Oldies Rugby Club, who can continue to offer testing to as many men as possible. NIVEA Men thanks you for your ongoing support in helping to prevent Prostate Cancer in Fiji.”
