The Australian High Commissioner to Fiji John Feakes hosted an afternoon tea yesterday for Australian and Fijian athletes,

The afternoon tea allowed athletes to know each other before the Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships start tomorrow at the Damodar City Aquatic Center in Suva

Feakes expressed during the afternoon tea how Fijians have passion when playing a sport

“Fijians share our love for sports particularly rugby, netball and also swimming,” he said

“To the Australian team I hope that you will be able to hold the taste of the passion that Fijian athletes have.

“Swimming is not only a swimming competition here in Fiji but it is also a way of life.”
