Ms Prakash was speaking during the Vodafone Festival of the Friendly North at Subrail Park in Labasa on Wednesday night.

She said our health and our environment was at the forefront of Foundation’s agenda for stronger and connected vanua.

“This is where we utilise our people and technology to do social good,” Ms Prakash said.

“When we say connected, it means we connected to the grassroots, we connected to the pacific and we connected to the world.

“Someone rightly said, our health is made from the nature and if we give pollution, anger, jealousy, and negative attitude to nature and environment, it will give back climate change.

“And this is the climate change that affects our health and sustainable future.

“Such a beautiful theme of the festival ‘our health, our future’ calls for action for transformation and change.

“If we don’t, then we can only blame ourselves. Together we can make a world of difference.

“We in partnership with relevant stakeholders continue to localise the sustainable development goals that has 17 goals, 169 targets and 230 indicators for the Pacific.

“The aim to tell ourselves that you matter, everyone matters and it’s no longer ‘mind our own businesses.

“Climate change is like an anomaly that takes everyone that comes in its pathway.

“So what we choose to do? We can no longer sit and watch.

“Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation has and will continue to objectively and subjectively support the communities that aspire for a sustainable future.
