The Vereti Dickson captained- Jack’s Nadi football side pipped minnows Tavua 1-0 in the Vodafone Premier League clash at Prince Charles Park, Nadi yesterday,

What happened: Tavua started strongly and they bombarded the Nadi goal looking for an early lead.

They dominated play throughout the half and came close to scoring several times but to be denied by the goalkeeping skills of Dickson.

The hosts settled down at the start of the second half and took play into the Tavua territory.

In the 47th minute striker Rusiate Matererega slammed in their lone goal.

Comments: Nadi coach Babs Khan said: “I think that’s the way football is. One try is enough to seal your win.
