Plants believed to be marijuana were uprooted on Wednesday by Police officers at Bilibiloca, Tukavesi, in the province of Cakaudrove.

This was yesterday confirmed by Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro.

“A raid conducted early Wednesday morning resulted in the seizure of more than 2000 plants believed to be marijuana,” Ms Naisoro said.

“Information was received about the farm and a team from the Tukavesi Police Station conducted the search and raid.

“This happened at around 3am whereby the farm was discovered as well as dried leaves found in buckets. We have information on the alleged suspects as investigations continue.”

She said the plants have been sent for analysis.
