“It is not about the games but its legacy that is behind it. This world games is expected to be the largest humanitarian sporting event the world has ever seen.

“We are excited to see all the nation of the world participate. We are here to learn about issues regarding people with disabilities.

“Hear their story, culture and share to the rest of the world.

“We are now using the term ‘people with determination rather than people with disabilities’,” he added.

Sidal said: “Fiji is fortunate to have the organising committee of the World Games to be here in Fiji to cover and also to transform the success story and how Special Olympics have changed lives and families.”
