Bail For MEN Who Allegedly Stole Marijuana From Police Post

Three men who were charged with one count of aggravtaed robbery and theft, were granted bail by the High Court in Suva yesterday.

Paula Vura was charged alongside Apete Turagatani and Navitalai Loatuicama with one count each of aggravated burglary and theft.

They appeared before Justice Chamath Morais.

It is alleged that between January 13, 2018, and January 15, 2018 in Koro Island, the three men unlawfully entered the Police Post with the intention to commit theft.

During the same period they were also alleged to have stolen five plants believed to be marijuana from the Koro Island Community Post exhibit room.

The three accused were granted bail on strict bail conditions.

They were ordered by the High Court not to obtain any travel documents and to surrender their passports.

The matter was adjourned to October 29.
