A final year law student charged with obtaining financial advantage by deception appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.

Ilisapeci Tuinamena appeared before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili.

She is charged with one count of obtaining financial advantage by deception.

It is alleged that between July 17, 2014 and July 24, 2014 in Suva by deception dishonestly obtained $4900 cash from Anu Rekha Sharma but failed to return the money as promised to the complainant.

Chief Magistrate Ratuvili adjourned the matter for mention on October 3 to set the hearing date.

Tuinamena’s bail has been extended.
